Today's game against Ravenshead
What a fantastic result!
With only 10 players the result is a credit to the flexibility and commitment of your children to each other.
Once again we were forced to play out of our usual positions and without some key players on holiday or otherwise indisposed!
To come back from 5 – 2 down to score 4 goals shows how resilient and committed to the team our children are! To never give up and to persevere through difficult times are skills beyond football and a credit to your children.
Sam showed the maturity of his age and linked up with his brother to provide forward runs and strength at the back – William was as tenacious as ever working the midfield and the right side.
Suppawit was fully involved in both halves as a midfielder and an excellent Goalkeeper – George T also played a blinder saving shots, puking up then scoring a goal!
‘Kiza’ the knife sliced the defence open to score two goals and captained the team to a great result.
Jo Godber showed his total football skills and versatility and commitment to the team by playing right back in the first half and left striker in the second half. Thank you Jo for your commitment to the team.
Chris had a late night manicure session and did well to lift his game and to score a goal, Harrison also managed to nick one back by turning players and a swerving shot from the edge of the box.
TomP, fresh from his summer cricket career, showed his mind and thinking and heading was still on the ball even if his legs are still catching up – the other Tom ‘Pauty’, demonstrated that his legs are still there and his brain is coming up to speed after the summer break.
Great stuff fellas see you on Wednesday – we will be taking our individual and team performance during training and matches more seriously as the new season looms!
Our commitment will remain the development of the whole child and the enjoyment of the ‘beautiful game’ lol.
